Curriculum and Assessment |
The School District of St. Croix Falls is invested in a six year curriculum review cycle which rotates through the content areas. As a part of this process, teachers have defined their curriculum so parents and community members have access to the expectations for learning at every grade level and in every content area. The district has adopted the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards and Assessment Frameworks as the guide for what students should know and be able to do.

The curriculum maps are available for viewing through the Link4Learning web based tool at:
https://www.link4learning.com/client/curriculum_map/public/view.cfm?memberid=14
- Put your cursor on the triangle to get a drop down menu and select the content area you wish to view.
- Select the grade level or course.
- You can “roll over” the listed benchmarks and standards to view the meaning behind the number.
The maps are listed primarily by quarters in the school year. However, there may be some variance by individual teacher due to accessing resources.
If you have any questions on the curriculum, please contact the building principal for further clarification.
Assessment of student learning is viewed through several lenses.
- WKCE Results: The WINNS web site provides a vehicle to explore student data.

- NWEA/MAP: Students use a computerized adapted assessment to demonstrate their learning in the areas of reading, language arts, math, and science. Grades 3-8 test in the fall and spring, while grades 9-10 test at the beginning and end of every semester.
