BOARD ELECTION INFORMATION
School Board elections are held every year. If elected, a member serves a three-year term. When a member's term expires, they must be re-elected by the public in the spring election to serve another term. Any interested candidate must reside in the District and file a Declaration of Candidacy and Campaign Registration Statement in the District Office prior to 5:00 p.m. on January 6th.
SCHEDULE AT A GLANCE
November 25, 2025 - Clerks publish a "Type A" Notice of Election identifying the seats that are open for election
December 1, 2025 – Window opens for candidates to file Campaign Registration Statements and Declarations of Candidacy
December 26, 2025 (5:00 p.m.) – Deadline for Incumbents to file Notice of Noncandidacy
January 6, 2026 (5:00 p.m.) - Deadline for Candidates to file to appear on the Spring Election Ballot
February 17, 2026 - Spring Primary (if Primary election is needed)
April 7, 2026 - Spring Election
April 27, 2026 - Persons Elected (or Re-Elected) to the School Board at the Spring Election Must Take and File the Official Oath of Office on or before the fourth Monday in April
