The School District of St. Croix Falls Announces New Superintendent
The St. Croix Falls School District Board of Education has selected Craig Broeren as the next superintendent.
Craig Broeren has nearly 14 years of superintendent experience and is currently in his seventh year as the superintendent of the Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools. Mr. Broeren’s career in education began as a high school chemistry teacher at Stillwater Area High School in Stillwater, MN. He later served as a middle/high school science teacher and athletic director at the St. Croix Falls School District before beginning his administrative career in the Prairie Farm School District as the PreK-12 principal and athletic director. After two years he was named the superintendent of the Prairie Farm Schools and served in that position for three years followed by four years as the superintendent of the Barron Area School District.
During his years as a district administrator, Mr. Broeren has successfully led initiatives to enhance and improve Early Childhood programming, district-wide technology integration, literacy goals, and Response to Intervention (RtI) plans. In addition to managing several building projects, Craig has also collaboratively developed and implemented technology infrastructure and safety and security upgrades. He has also successfully directed both operational and bond issue referenda.
Mr. Broeren will begin his duties as the St. Croix Falls School District superintendent on July 1, 2024, following the retirement of current superintendent, Mark Burandt.
